Drill #2-A / Sprint & Shoot

F1 passes to D1as he jumps off the boards.
D1 sprints to mid ice and shoots with F1 screening or deflecting shot.
D1 touches the far boards, skates backwards to centre, and receives a pass from D2 and shoots.
D1 touches the boards again at the starting point, receives a pass from D3, he moves to the middle and shoots.
Every time D1 touches the boards, F1 goes backward to forward around the net and gets ready for a deflection
Drill #2 - Stretch & Timing

- First 3 players skating towards opposite end
- 1st player carries puck and shoots on net and picks up puck in corner
- 2nd player follows with delayed skate, generating speed in
blue prime reception area
- 1st player passes puck to 2nd player as he reaches the prime reception area
- 2nd player passes to 3rd player who also has delayed to reach his prime reception area at full speed
- Player 3 shoots on net then goes to corner and picks up puck to start drill from opposite end
- Encourage players to generate speed entering the prime reception area
- Drill starts with 3 players and continues with 2 players from alternating ends
- Drill runs continuous
